I mentioned it first because this one is my favorite gallery in Jakarta-! A bit far away from my house, located at Central Jakarta near Kemayoran, Art:1 features contemporary arts with the straight forward spacious space, so it was easy to navigate. This gallery provides video rooms and hidden corners, that encourage viewers to explore and interact also be curious with the collections.

The Gallery is worth to visit, its free, but i gave tip for the security at the gallery because they are very knowledgeable explaining about the art and accompany us to explore the gallery.

Galeri Nasional

Probably the most famous art gallery due to its temporary exhibition such as Biennale. When i went there it was very crowded, we have to wait for the groups that were already inside the gallery until they are finish strolling around. But i think they have interesting exhibitions, the one that i visited was Jakarta 3rd Bienalle, Contemporary Ceramics

Dia.Lo.Gue Artspace

Also an interesting art space that aims to exhibited all types of media expressions. Its easy to reach because the gallery is located at Kemang, South Jakarta. They have seasonal exhibitions and interesting program such as workshops and 'pasar seni'
